At Canary, we were expanding our offerings to include AR/VR and social filters to deliver digital brand experiences with minimal production costs. When Outside Lands came to us with their festival wristband mailer box, we swung big with no proof point that AR/VR would work and only a three-day turnaround. We transformed the insert cards into scannable targets, enabling festival-goers to create and share AR videos directly on social media. The idea was such a hit that Outside Lands extended the experience to their wayfinding signage across the festival grounds.

Using the festival’s branding, we designed insert card artwork for each area of the festival grounds. I then created looping animations that played through the AR experience when scanned.
